it sounds alarming but if you hire a photog for 1 hour to take pics its affordable ...the biggest complaint ive heard from parents is that they have no pics of them with their LO's at the party...(and to be honest i barely have any pics with my kids b/c im always the one taking pictures!)
No I wanted to, but we are hiring our photographer for a family photo shoot and a smash cake day. But honestly I would love to. I really don't want to be behind the camera all day and the guests that normally would take a ton aren't coming.
I was going to, but instead decided to hire a photographer to take 1st year photos at a park. I'm happy with my decision. I wouldn't want a photographer in the way at the party.
My cousins who planned my baby shower hired a photographer for the day. She was an amateur photog so wasn't too expensive. It was great having someone dedicated to capturing all the details and guests... and not ask your guests to have to do it for you. Maybe you can check out the local college or someone who is just starting out?
I did for DD's 1st birthday and planned to for the twins. I also did this for both baptisms. However, we have moved and we can no longer use the same photogrpaher. Not sure if I feel like doing th eleg work to find a new one. I may post on Cragislist looking for an amateur (will meet beforehand) but I am on the fence.
