When do they stop eating toys?

DD is 21 months old and still putting random things in her mouth. Just this week she bit off a plastic piece of a sports bottle and almost swallowed it! And she'll put almost anything in her mouth - it freaks me out because I have to constantly watch what she's holding. When does this stage end?

Have you felt her back gums to see if she's getting her 2yr molars?  DD broke her first about 1.5mo ago and is working on her second now.  It's like she's reverted back to 6mo old with the hands/toys/anything she can get her hands on goes straight to her mouth.

Actually, ya, she is getting her second molars. Hmmm...maybe it'll stop after they come in.

I'm hoping that's the case for us, too.  Gumming is one thing but leaving her teeth marks all over is another...

I don't really know since I only have a 7 month old, but I distinctively remember chewing on Barbie legs and feet for a really long time.  Obviously if I can remember back that far.  For your sake, I hope it stops soon.  But I think I used to chew on things for a long time.  My pen cap is looking pretty chewed up as we speak!

YES!  Ugh, how is he handling it?  Just when F's top broke the bottom decided to swell.  I have a feeling this is going to take forever.  I wish all of them would come in at once so we could do one big round of misery instead of dragging it out.

Keira's got like 5 teeth coming in, including molars, and things are unpleasant sometimes!  And she puts *everything* in her mouth too.  Everything.
