We met in university, both studying to be pharmacists. He was a year ahead of me. One day I was in the college lounge with a friend, chatting about some drug my dad had been prescribed, but we hadn't covered in school yet, and he came "strutting" over and tells me they just covered it in his year. He proceeded to tell me all about it and then went back to his studying.
A couple days later, we were on a college-sponsored pub crawl. This is where our stories diverge...he says I grabbed him and made him dance with me. I say he came over to me and started dancing and asked me how my dad was. (I'm totally right, by the way) While we were dancing, I kept telling him I was not going to sleep with him (I was really drunk but also very virutous back then!), to which he would reply that he didn't want to sleep with me anyway (how rude!!). He finally gave up dancing with me and we went and sat on the side and chatted for an hour or so, and then he asked me out for the next night. The rest is history (and, yes, I did eventually sleep with him
)
I actually met mine at the mall! He was working in a little T-Mobile booth and my exhusband and I went because my ex wanted to take off some features on my phone. My now bf was NOT impressed at the way he was treating me, but did what my ex had asked him since that was his job. I went back in a few months later to change my mailing address back to my moms since I had FINALLY left my ex for good (it took me a few times of leaving and going back before I finally did it) and he and I talked for a little bit, he was SUPER cute, very polite and I could tell he was def NOT from this area (his southern accent gave it away!) a month went by and I thought nothing of it, and one night I went out to a very trashy bar/dance club and he was there!! The first thing he asked was how my "lil man was doing" because he remember that I had a son! He put his number in my phone saying if I needed any help with anything (phone wise) I could call him since he was no longer working at the mall, but for the T-Mobile call center instead. I text him that night so he had my number and we talked for an hour or so after I had gotten home (ended up staying at my exhusband on the couch since the bar was closer then my moms house) we hung out for the first time on Dec. 2, 2008 and we continued to hang out but he did not want to become a couple until I was officially divorced (we both agreed that would be smart!). My divorce was final on Feb 12, 2009 and that day my bf and I celebrated Valentines day together sine he had to work on vday. He got me a neclace, earings, and ring that all matched and a really sweet card asking me to be his gf.
I def wasn't looking to fall in love especially with all that I went through with my ex, but with my bf it was so easy!!
p.s. all this super trooper talk made me laugh outloud and my son and the little girl I'm babysitting were so confused as to what I was laughing at!!
