He doesn't seem to mind it too much. They are now recommending physical therapy as well for his neck. Not sure how we will fit that in, but we will make it work. We are going to decorate it for him this weekend.

What a cutie! Both of our LOs are starting PT for their necks/heads next week. We hope to avoid the DOC band, but if not, I hope they look as cute in theirs as your DS does:)

He was diagnosed with severe Plagiocephaly. His head was wedged in my pelvis while inutero so he developed a flat spot on the right back side of his head. It was made worse by sleeping on his back on the time. Here is the link that talks about it https://www.cranialtech.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=71&Itemid=132. If it is not corrected, it would definitely be noticable physically, but there is also a potential for other issues like TMJ because his head is not aligned properly.
Because of the inbalance and flat spot, he always holds his neck/head a certain way which has caused him to have neck tightness on one side so that is why we are doing physical therapy.

OMG... your DS is so sticken cute!! One of my boys starts PT next week for the same thing your DS has. I think he needs a helmet but they are going to decide that next weekdon't forget to post pictures after you decorate the band.
So cute! Both of my babies had DOC bands. I really recommend the PT, that is what will really help the torticollis correct. We still go to PT every week. Jack is doing great, pretty much done, but Caroline still struggles and she will probably be going for a while still.
Re: DS got his DOC Band today
Aww, he's a cutie pie : ) He'll be stylin' once it's decorated for him! All the babies are gonna want one ; )
