Daycare questions....

Hello all, I am new to the board and hopefully I am asking my question in the right place.  My husband and I are expecting our first child in November of this year.  We are starting to look for daycare in the following areas (on our way to and from work):

Tampa - Westchase area

Clearwater - St. Petersburg College Epi Center area

Seminole - St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus area

Palm Harbor - Lansbrook area or along Eastlake Road area

New Port Richey - SR54 and Seven Springs area

We were wondering if anyone on this board could recommend a place that will provide infant care.  We are thinking around Jan/Feb next year since I have to return to work.  I have checked the FDCF site, but I would like actual recommendations if possible.

In addition, what is the average cost for daycare?  I really appreciate anyone's help and thank you in advance.

Re: Daycare questions....

  • Okay....I have found a daycare that is amazing!  For those of you whom live in the New Port Richey/Trinity/Port Richey area there is a place called Discovery Point off of Little Road and Trouble Creek.

Out of all the places I have called and visited they are AMAZING!  We didn't have to make an appointment to stop on by; they told us to come in whenever (which was nice).  Of all the daycare facilities we visited this one was immaculate.  To enter the infant room you have to put on booties, and it is huge and with lots of toys and activities.  Everything was properly labeled, and in its place.  They provided you with daily reports and follow your feeding schedule.

If anyone, would like any other information you can email me at patrickandsteph4@gmail.com.
