We don't have a Ross or Marshalls in my area, but TJ Maxx has had some pretty cute stuff when I've gone in there. I got my nephew a pair of Ralph Lauren swimtrunks last summer for $3. They were too cute.

LOVE TJ Maxx! They always have Ralph Lauren clothes for less than half the price. And I love those little outfits- I will have such a dapper looking little baby.
Tj maxx and marshalls are owned by the same company. So they usually have very similar stuff. I used to work at a tj. If you have a carters outlet near you I would go there. I went to one not long ago and went home with a boat load of stuff cheap. Sleep in plays were $5-7. And its curent stuff. I got LO a sweater that I saw in Bru the other day for 70% off at the outlet. HTH
We don't have a Ross around here, but I find TJ Maxx/Marshall's to be a lot more expensive than I can find at other shops - Kohls has great sales, Childrens Place as well. I'm not into the "name" brands though.

this. I work for companies that sell to them. They get the same product usually.
TJ Maxx and Marshall's are practically the same thing. The selection will vary by store, though. Check them both out- when I had my son that's where I shopped for just about everything and got lots of cute Calvin Klein & Carter's stuff especially.
TJ Maxx and Marshalls are actually the same company. So if you have both in your area, I think they may just split up what they get between the two. Where I live, we only have TJ Maxx but 3 hours away Marshalls dominates and I've noticed that Marshalls seems to have some higher end nicer stuff but that could just be because it is in a bigger city than where I live. I dont have much experience with Ross. These kind of stores get whatever stores have extra so it's not necessarily always one store has better stuff than the other. I think you will just have to shop around and see which one has better stuff at that time.
I love TJ and Marshalls (homegoods stuff too) but I think Ross is crap. I've gotten lots of Ralph Lauren stuff at both of those stores. Also got some organic stuff (towels, onesies, ect).
I think it totally depends on where you are. I used to love Ross. About 2 years ago they had the best stuff. Now I am finding they don't have much but that being said, I found our mobile at Ross for super cheap. I have found Marshalls to have higher end merchandise than TJ Maxx. I have found you can have a totally different experience at the same store, different location. It is definitely shopping as an art form, so expect to search racks and deal with mess and rude employees.
