So I am far from a baker and I am going to attempt to make DD's cake. So can you buy colored frosting? Silly question I guess, but I only remember buying vanilla or chocolate at the grocery store.
Most bakeries will sell their frosting pre-colored if you ask for it! Food coloring it can mess up the consistency, or the color if you don't do it right
Sometimes you can find pink or confetti or they have the little tubes of colored frosting. I would just go to Hobby Lobby or Micheals and get some Wilton colors and mix them.
The only color I have seen is a pinkish for strawberry frosting. You can just use food coloring but I just read the other day it is better to use food coloring paste in your frosting because too much liquid food coloring will thin it out. I think I am going to try that when I make cupcakes for Leah's bday.
