I have decided DD is lazy and/or spoiled...LOL. She can do all these things I didnt know she could do..but she chooses not too. She will not hold her bottle to save her life. The other night I guess she was really hungry and I was holding her, holding her bottle and talking to DH. She got angry I wasnt putting it in her mouth while I was chatting, so she growled and grabbed it and started drinking..DH and I were shocked. She has not, however, done it since.Today she was on her belly and saw the cat behind where I was laying. She grabbed onto my shirt and vaulted up to almost a stand to get over me and get at the cat. I had no idea she could do that...I was worried actually b/c she wasnt doing these things. How can I encourage her to do these things more often? She still sits back and wants me to do everything.
Re: Anyone else have a lazy baby?
Yep. I was just thinking that this morning when DD leaned over too far from a seated position and ended up on her back on her mat. She kept looking at me like "roll me over!" I was like ... no way girl, roll yourself over ... I've seen her do it about 1,000 times!
ETA: She never did roll over or sit up. I ended up having to move her back to a seated position b/c she started to get upset.
::eye roll::
Yes! This morning she was screeching for a toy right in front of her...I know she could get it....LOL. By the way, your LO's eyes are absolutely beautiful.
i always say DD is lazy. it mostly has to do with her rolling over. she only rolled over for the first time from back to belly last friday, and no one saw her do it. MIL left her in the living room, on her back, for a min. when she came back DD was on her belly, as happy as can be (and DD hates being on her belly). she has been so close to going all the way over, but then she just gives up. even w/ rolling belly to back, which she's done 7 times (that i've seen) since she was 5.5 months old. she can get to her back, but instead she'll fuss until someone comes and moves her.
i know she'll take forever to crawl and stand, but in those cases i'll let her be lazy. i know i'll go crazy once she starts crawling.
LOL...DD isnt crawling either. She can kinda slither/army crawl where she wants to go and started rocking on all fours, so hopefully soon
TY
My daughter is soooo lazy. She refuses to pick up after herself. I have to feed her all of the time. And trying to get her to change her own diaper? Forget it.
My DD rolled over from back to belly for the first (that I know of) this past Saturday, and we missed it also! We laid her on the carpet, and turned away from her for a minute, and when we looked back she was on her belly! She knows how to roll over from belly to back, but my MIL is the only one that has seen her do it a handful of times. I think she's lazy too. She is soooo good at sitting with very little support, and when I try to have her sit unsupported, she just flops over to the side like she doesn't even want to make an effort to stay sitted. I guess we just have to be patient and continue encouraging our LOs, I'm sure they'll get over their laziness eventually and then we're all going to be going crazy chasing after them!
