Did you receive flowers when your baby was born?
If you did, who did you get them from?
My mom and aunt felt bad after I was home that no one sent flowers to the hospital....they both forgot and no one else sent them....my mom said that all new mom usually gets flowers.
Re: Question for all new moms
I got flowers from my SO, some from his parents, my parents and 2 other girlfriends brought potted plants.
I wasn't expecting them, so it was a nice surprise.
I got some from my parents and some from DH's bosses. One of my friends also brought me a potted plant.
I wouldn't feel bad that you didn't get any- they were a nice gesture but a pain to get home with all of the rest of the stuff.
I did receive flowers from a close friend, cousin and my grandparents. It was very thoughtful, but they died a week or so later. LOL
I don't think they should feel bad. What counts most is that they were there to support and see LO.

I didn't get flowers while in the hospital. The only flowers we received were from my husbands Union and the staff at his work also sent some.
I hadn't even thought about receiving flowers..... nor would I have thought to get them for anyone who'd had a baby.
Tell them not to feel bad! How can they possibly feel bad about anything when with you sweet little peanut to be so happy about!
From my church, my in-laws, my BFF, a couple of friends, my aunts.
It was nice of them, but I was so overwhelmed that I hardly noticed.
I got three bouquets when I got home, not in the hospital. IMO one of the worst gifts for new parents. I JUST threw away one of the long dead bouquets that had been put aside and forgotten. And now I have to deal with cleaning and storing a vase with rotted flower water in it.
Got an edible bouquet from work = great gift.

No flowers for me, although a friend did send a plant.
Yes, from MIL when we go home.
I wouldn't have wanted them in the hospital recovery room. It was cluttered enough as is.
Me, too, after I was home. Half of the fun was reading all of the warnings about "this product contains SKEWERS which are DANGEROUS".
I got flowers from my parents, DH's parents, and my sisters.
I really wouldn't have cared if I didn't get any though!

My best friend got me a small bouquet of hyacinths-they filled the hospital room with smell.
My parents got my little girl a big bouquet of roses and carnations.
The flowers were nice and helped make the hospital room nicer and not so sterile-I would have liked it more if people had come to visit. We live out in the country and since we've come home from the hospital the only people that have come by are the grandparents so hardly anyone has seen LO except in pics on facebook.
