How many receiving/swaddle blankets do I need for twins?

I am going to be ordering some of those Adan+Anais muslin swaddle blankets for the babies.  I was thinking of ordering a total of 4...do you think that will be enough?  I should add that we do have some of the hospital ones leftover from DS too.

  • I think 4 would be enough to start with because you never know if both are going to like being swadddled.  Only one of mine did, the other was perfectly content without being swaddled.

  • we had 8 of the A&A blankets and were glad we had that many - we LOVED them and used them all the time - so there were always a few in the wash, a few ready to go, and a few being used.  If you have a reflux baby you will need more of them for sure :)

We only used them for swaddling during the day - at night we used miracle blankets b/c they are very hard to get out of - LOVED those.  We had 6 of those.

It looks like the ones on diapers.com are 44x44 vs. 47x47.  Not sure if it's a misprint of if 3" even matters.
