Happiest toddler on the block

Has anybody read this? If so what did you think? I bought it at the weekend , I thought I would get abit of a head start because I feel I didn't really do much research on sleep problems untill we were actually faced with them. So far I like it the theory behind it is my style and I even have hubby reading it too , bonus!

Re: Happiest toddler on the block

  • I haven't heard of it. What is the theory (in a nutshell)? I might be interested. I loved the happiest baby on the block.

  • I've heard of it but never read it.  I read Happiest Baby On The Block and really liked it. What topics does HTOTB discuss?

personally i don't have time to read!  i checked out the dvd and audio book from the library and made copies.  havent listened to the audio book yet but the dvd is worth it...  gets to the point quicky and...   i totally agree w/ the method. makes a lot of sense...  i'll probably use it but more on the light side... we'll see when we get there ;)
  • Well I've only started it but so far he has  theories dealing with toddlers especially toddlers throwing tantrum! He says that dealing with a toddler throwing a tantrum is like dealing with a caveman LOL!! So you need to speak to them as such short sentances and direct no long explanations into why they can't have something or why they need to do something.

I know it sound weird as I'm typing it out but it makes a lot of sense. He claims his ways can end a tantrum in minutes!!! we shall see.....

i recommend the dvd.  it's short and you see visuals of children throwing tantrums and parents using 'todlerease' to fix it.

  • I can't believe I'm actually at the point where I have to buy a "toddler" book.  I remember buying the HBOTB book and it seems like just yesterday!

Thanks for the recommendation, I'm going to check it out.
