summer infant video monitor & static issues

So after 9-ish months of faithful service, our Summer Infant monitor is slowly starting to suck the big one in the static department.  I recall some of you (MrsRosie, maybe?) having luck getting a replacement...did you do that direct with Summer Infant or with BRU?

(FWIW: I still have the original BRU receipt.)

  • We had ours replaced 2 times and both were full of static. Everyone I know that has one complains of this. We went through Summer both times, and if you don't have your receipt they go by when the product was made not purchased for your warranty.

  • We called up the company direct and there was no problem getting it replaced (we had battery and static problems) and it came back working better than it had originally.
  • I am suddenly having a problem where the monitor won't show a picture or produce sound when I have it plugged in....just a ton of static. Is that what you all are talking about?
  • I hate ours.  The sound is really crackly.

  • We called Summer and I had the receipt.   I just scanned it and emailed it to them  and  they sent me a new one.  If you give them a CC number they will send you a replacement one right away and then you can just send in yours after you receive the new one.
