Birthing Classes

Hello All, 

 

Can you please link websites that offer birthing classes in San Antonio? I'm most interested in the classes offered in the mornings Mon-Fri. Hope all is well with everyone!! :O)

I went with a bradley instructor that i found on www.sabradleyteachers.com.  Bradley is very focused on natural childbirth and teaching relaxation skills for labour.   I found it helpful in that it provides a lot of information about what happens during labour and delivery and letting me know what my options were.  My husband found it helpful in that he knew what to expect and seeing videos of actual deliveries helped  out a lot.  That said we met once a week for 2 hours for 12 weeks so it is a huge time commitment.  Our classes were on Saturdays but other teachers may do different days. 

You should also check to see what you hospital has to offer.  I know there is also a Birthing from Within teacher in San Antonio but I don't know much about it. 

Finally if you have weekday nornings free, I highly reccommend the prenatal yoga classes at Destination Maternity @I-10 and Wurzbach.  The classes were free and it was alot of fun being around other pregnant women.  There are also evening classes too.
