Perfect fruit for baby

The kid loves watermelon. Who knew!? I'm pretty happy since it's fruit and it has a lot of water in it. She still has trouble with sippy cups.

It dissolves fast so she can't choke and I think it felt really good on her gums. She had that, blueberries and steamed veggies. It doesn't get much better than that...

    mmm I love watermelon. Natalie isn't a fan which works for me. She loves muskmelon.

    DD just tried watermelon the other day and after spitting out the 1st bite clamped her jaw shut and pushed me away when I tried to give it to her! I told her she's not normal!! What kid doesn't like watermelon?!?! Oh well, it's one of the only things she won't eat. And that sounds like a yummy, well balanced meal!

    I hate watermelon (all melons actually) so I've never bought it for the house.  I probably should let him try it though...I am trying to let him try absolutely everything I can think of before he becomes a picky toddler!

    stupid question, but I guess you just have to buy a big whole watermelon and cut it down??

    DD loves watermelon too, I just cut them into small pieces and she devours it.

    Actually I bought some pre-sliced and cut it off the rind. That way I didn't have to get a whole one!

    o good, I didn't know they came smaller, I won't feel like I am wasting as much if he doesn't like it!  I will add that to my shopping list for next week!

    DS loves watermelon but beware if they eat alot.  Watermelon can cause explosive poop.

    Mine LOVES it..which is horrible for me because I can't even stand the smell of it.  DH bought some and cut it up and gave it to her but I ended up giving it to her the next day too..she shouldn't have to miss out because I hate watermelon, but it was a struggle : / DH thinks I'm UnAmerican for not liking it haha

    DS loves it! I never really cared for watermelon until I was pregnant with him, so I'm not surprised that he likes it so much. I could have lived off it while I was pregnant!

    I'm so excited to have AJ try it! I bought a mini seedless one at the grocery today. And if he doesn't like it, that's fine, too. More for momma!
