Mastitis...

has subsided... however it's still painful to nurse on that side.  When is that going to go away? 

Mari's Reflux

is getting bad again... I took her to the doc today to see if we need to change around her meds or what not and he said not yet.  I also asked him about something I noticed - Mari's chin is always pointing down and to the left.  WHereas she does turn and move her head a lot, I was starting to get worried about her always being in that position... and sure enough for good reason.  Doc says she has a bit of a twist in her neck and I'm summoned to sleep her only on her left side. 

and the good news:

Doc pierced Mari's ears today!!!!!!!!!!!  I'll PIP as soon as she wakes up from her (late, but much needed) nap!

Oh yea, and she's 12 lbs 10 oz

Hey Cris!  I'm sorry that it's still not pleasant to nurse on that one side.  What a pain in the boob!  Ha sorry really bad pun, couldn't resist  Can't wait to see pics of Mari's little ears!

Awww...poor little Mari and poor Mama!!!  I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. 

I am excited to see Mari's ears though!  Did she cry?

Boo! It sucks her reflux is getting bad again. Is she taking Zantac? Hope your boob gets better soon!

Oh man, I hope your boob starts feeling better.  I hope Mari's reflux starts to improve as well as the twist in her neck. 

And, I can't wait to see her little ears!  I bet she looks so freakin' cute!

Ah man Cristina, I am so sorry you are going through all of this....Your poor booby!!! And poor Mari with her reflux problem..I can not believe it is getting worse...I wonder why

But on a happy note, I can not wait to see Mari's ears...Our Drs office does it at 4 months so we need to wait a little longer....

Cris- usually app a week until the pain subsides and everything feels normal.  You had a blister though, right? It may take a few more days in that immediate area.

And, sorry to hear about Mari having reflux again. I hope you get answers at your next appointment.

I'm sorry your boobie still hurts. As for the reflux, the protocol will be to try Prevacid next. Zantac didn't work for my son either. Warning though, Prevacid can upset lo's stomach. It really messed with my son's stomach and a lot of girls on the reflux boards on BBC at the time but had to affect on my friend's son. If it bothers Mari, don't be afraid to ask for compounded Prilosec. That did the trick for ds.

Sorry to hear about your boob, and hope Mari's reflux and neck get better asap.

Poor Mari, I hope her neck straitens itself out. She's a chunky little monkey isn't she? Only 3 lbs less then my 10 months old

AWWW! I bet she looks so cute!

Have you tried a warm compress on your ta-tas? Try microwaving a damp washcloth for about 30 sec and then applying, it might give some temporarily relief.  Sorry -- I remember how bad that pain was!
