  • I am 38 & was planning on it taking an average of 6-12 months like every article and book says it will at my age.  I literally got pregnant the 1st time we tried.  I got an ovulation predictors test, it said I was ovulating, it worked.  I don't know if other people have as good of results with them, but they sure worked for me!

  • Yes, I was totally worried that it would take a long time and that I would have problems. I don't even know why. Maybe because I've never been pregnant before. I was told the average is about 6 months. We got pregnant the first month of trying. I just tracked the approximate time of ovulation for a few months before trying and then the month we tried, it happened!
  • I was extremely worried it would take a long time, but luckily it happened in the second cycle. The first thing I said to DH when we found out was "We work!"  My mother and my aunt had drilled it into my head my entire life that women in our family go through menopause really early and I was worried that at almost 31 I had already started to become less fertile.  I felt so much relief when I got my BFP, because it was something I was worried about my entire life.

We were fully prepared for it to take anywhere to from six months to a year. I stopped my birth control while I was on vacation in Florida. When I arrived home 7 days later to my husband, we got pregnant on our first try! It was definitely a SHOCK! :) But a good one.

Don't worry...don't stress...just know that your Peanut will come when it is supposed to. Good luck!
