Pregnant after a Loss

Clicky Poll: Free ultrasound - should I or shouldn't I?

I found a school that does free ultrasounds as a teaching aid for their students.  The problem is that they're 1.5 hrs away and about $10 in tolls to get there and back.  Plus DH would have to take the whole day off work since they only offer the u/s between 10-11am and then we'd have the drive back after that.  Should I sign up for a free ultrasound??? (it's just like the big u/s - no 3d or anything special like that).[Poll]

  • I voted no, but only because there is no way I would have time to do something like that.  If you have the time, go for it.

  • i said no, but only because i've had so many darn u/s... i think it was 7 (including NT scan) in first tri, then one at 16 weeks because my vag hurt and i was scared about my cervix, then the big one at 21 weeks, and then follow up growth u/s at 27, 31, and 35 weeks. so if you're going to have multiple u/s at your dr, i would say no. but if they only do the one big u/s and that's it, then maybe!
  • I vote no because it is really not free.  20 dollars in tolls and the full day pay(or vacation day lost) your DH loses out on seems like a lot.
  • I'd rather pay full price, get a good 3d/4d ultrasound when it fit into my schedule.

  • Yay!  If it's going to make you happy seeing your LO again, go for it.  Is your DH up for the drive and taking time off of work?  I guess his opinion is what matters since he's the one involved with you :).  Fingers crossed that you get clearer pics!!

    GL!!

  • I vote no only because it's so far out of the way.  Not worth the effort and time off...
