What this could mean... does it mean anything?

I went in for an u/s after my last m/c, like maybe 3-4 days after the bleeding ended (so maybe CD 12 or so?) and my OB said he saw a really good looking 10mm follie on one of my ovaries, and he thought I'd ovulate within the week.  Well, obviously he was wrong wrong wrong. 

What would that mean? That a follie would seem to be developing great, and then I not O at all? This is probably a biology lesson that I'm behind on here, but please fill me in :-/
