Success so far!

Today is day 2 with no Paci... Yesterday she was great... She didnt sleep with it the night before so i just figured lets see how she does.... All day yesterday she didnt cry for it.. I put her down for a nap without it, perfect and then bedtime without it, perfect.. Hopefully it stays this way.. She is doing great without it and talking ALOT more!!!!!!

I did this on DD's 10 month-day and she has been great without it and so vocal! She hardly ever tried to talk before 'cause that thing was always in her mouth, now she does great. The only time she ever seems to want one is if one of her friends has one and she tries to take it.

How did you guys do it? DD does not have it during the day anymore, only naps and bedtime. I have tried twice to put her down for a nap without it and it was not pretty, so I caved.  I guess I figured it would be a piece of cake since I took it away during the day with no problem.  I wanted it gone by 1 year originally but I am thinking why not start now..and now I am getting nervous because if it is this hard now, what will happen later?
