T&P's for my SIL

my SIL just found out that she has ovarian cancer that has spread to her stomach.  She is 34 a single mom of an 11 year old daughter.  She goes to tomorrow to find her options and treatment plan.  It doesnt look good at all.

    Oh, gosh...I am so sorry.

    She will be in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know how her appointment tomorrow goes and if they are any good treatment options for her.

    Started TTC in 2/09. Dx with PCOS in 09/09. BFP on 11/7/09.
    Dx with Ectopic on 12/7/09. Laparoscopy, D&C, and lost my left tube on 12/08/09.
    01/11 = BFP!

    I'm so sorry, many thoughts and prayers to her.  Hugs.
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    Your story hits particularly close to home as I was a 12 yo only child when my 32 yo single mother was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer.  She went through treatment hell, but has been cancer free for 18 years.

    You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  It's a heartbreaking road ahead, but I pray there is reason for hope.  With whatever they tell her tomorrow she will need her family and it sounds like she has a wonderful one to lean on. 

    It's not my place to offer advice, but I will say that my family never really talked to me about what was going on other than she was sick.  We moved in with my grandparents while she was being treated and I heard way more than they ever realized.  It's hard to articulate how traumatic that experience was for me.  Obviously with your sister-in-law being ill, the primary attention should be focused on her, but your niece is going through an awful time too and will need attention and care.

    It's a truly cruel disease and I am so sorry for your news and the long road ahead.  ~hugs~
