We are getting a new car seat for DH's tiny 2000 Honda Civic (cannot WAIT until december until he gets a bigger car, but I digress...) This will be for DS, who is 4 1/2 so we are looking into getting the frontier. I know it is a large seat, and DD's car seat will be in there as well (but it is the graco comfort sport, which is a small car seat since it only goes up to 40lbs and 40 inches). do you think it will fit ok or should I look into something smaller (like a nautilus..is that even smaller?? so many options...arrgh!! would love any feedback--thanks!
Re: Does Britax frontier fit well in a small Honda Civic??
I'm assuming you only need to fit the 2 carseats in the back? We have a smaller 4 door car too and are trying to figure out how to arrange seats when the baby comes. The only issue for us is that we can't fit another passenger with the 2 carseats.
If both seats are forward facing, I don't think it would be a problem. I was just looking at seat specs. We have a Nautilus, which is 18.5" wide. The Frontier 85 is 19.5" wide. I assume the top of the seat moves with the Frontier just like the Nautilus, so I don't think that would be an issue.
Right now our plan is to get the Frontier when DD outgrows her Marathon.
