I've had 4 u/s since 6 weeks and have some great pics the tech was able to get get for us. I would love to do something creative with them as a way to display them in the nursery or our house.
What are you doing with your pictures, if anything? I'd love to hear some ideas! PIP would be great too.
Re: What to do with ultrasound pictures
I have more u/s pictures than I know what to do with.
I got an u/s every week during first tri, every other week during second tri, and am about to be back to every week. I have gotten 4-5 good pictures from each u/s (I am high risk).
I have absolutely no clue what I am going to do with them. I've thought about scanning them all in and making a photo book or something but that seems excessive.
I'm curious to hear what others have to say.
I have heard that the pictures can fade over time. I was told to make copies of them to put into books and things so they stay looking nice. I have a pregnancy journal and am putting them in there.
MIL gave us one of these frames, it's cute, I'm going to put it in the nursery somewhere. As far as the other ultrasound pictures, for right now they stay saved to our CD. My dr's office gave me a CD the first visit so everytime an ultrasound is done they update the CD with the pics, NICE.
I do alot of scrapbooking and the self adhesive laminating sheets work best at preserving them for scrapbooks or keeping them as keepsakes. I know the heat laminating process will make the entire picture turn black, which is why I go with the self adhesive sheets. They sell packs of them at staples for a few dollars.
ditto. also heard that you should Not try to laminate the u/s pics because it ruins it.
I already have mine in a photo album a family friend gave us when we found out we were expecting. (It's pastel "baby" colors so I thought why not? Her first pictures!)
I have SO MANY from the twins (once a week from week 5-12 and then monthly and also others sprinkled in when the doctor thought I needed them) that I just put them in a memory box. My sister got a plain round hat box from the craft store, painted it and put pregnancy stickers on it. It is perfect because I also put in baby shower favors, my shower cap thing from the the c-section, and other odds and ends from the pregnancy.
I did put my 2 favorite u/s pics in their scrapbook.

I am keeping a pregnancy blog, and as I get u/s pics, I post them to the blog. Further down the road, I will have my blog printed and bound as a book, which will of course contain the blog posts with the u/s pics in them.
As for the hard copies of the u/s pics themselves, I'll probably keep them in LO's baby book.

I'll be picking my favorite, and posting it into the baby book, and most baby books now have an envelope in the back so I'll be putting the rest in that.
