We had one the other day but I'm bored and there seem to be an unusual number of newbs around!

So ask away, I'll do my best to answer or chart stalk. If I can't answer I'm sure someone will be able to!

There have been like 30 intros today! I thought for sure there would be some questions.

Although this week should probably be declared "opk week" for as many q's as there were about them.

This week I have had my first ever +opk's. They've been positive with FMU, around Noon and then negative by evening. All 4 days. What gives?

You're surging early in the day. Make sure you mark them positive all 4 days.

I have a question and it's probably stupid!  I got a positive OPK this afternoon but still have sticky CM.  We're using preseed this cycle but I was just wondering if the lack of fertile CM will cause a problem?  Thanks in advance!

Not really a question, but after lurking, I read TCOYF. Thanks for the recommendation ladies. I feel like DH and I  have wasted about 5 cycles. I am trying to resist POAS for a few  more days and then on to charting the crap out of my next cycle. I will for sure be up for some chart stalkers!

Hehe, well, if the rest of the newbs are like me, I haven't been able to activate my account for weeks, so I've actually had to answer all my dumb questions myself until now.  

 

Here's one:  When you click on my ticker below, it only shows the first 9 days of my last cycle, even though I charted the whole thing.  Any ideas why it's not displaying the rest?

Well, the more fertile CM the better, but it's not necessarily a 'problem'. Remember that you can get a +OPK up to 48 hours (one time I got mine 72 hours!) before you actually ovulate, so you may still see some fertile CM before you O.

Are you checking internally?

Okay, I have 2 questions, and hopefully they aren't stupid... I just bought a BBT from CVS, and started charting 3 days ago. The thermometer gives me a temperature to the 100th, but on my chart (I printed one from the TCOYF website) it only goes to the 10th degree. Do I round?

Also, I can't get the thermometer to store the most recent temperature, it stored the first one, and hasn't replaced it with the newest temp. Any ideas why?

Your pee isn't as diluted in the evening. I spoke to my OB about this because I have many + in the am with FMU and none in the PM she said its nothing to worry about and some just have a more concentrated LH in AM.

I stopped taking them in the PM this cycle.

PS. YAY for +opks! I've been stalking you since your first + looking for that temp spike. Fingers crossed!

No clue!

Maybe check your sharing settings and see what comes up. When you are on your home page (not through your ticker) can you see your whole chart for april?

Aw thanks! I must have dipped 15 sticks on that first day I was so damn excited. Now its like, ok, enough already huh? I'm just hoping this doesn't keep going on for days because I know that can mean a few not so great things. My temp did go up this morning but not enough. We shall see tomorrow I suppose

Yes, rounding to the nearest tenth is fine. FF lets you chart to the hundreth.

I will have to defer tos omeone else on the CVC BBT. Mine is the BD basal.

And...while we are on the topic of OPK's, any specific recommendations? Brands? I read that many of you buy them from Amazon. I got lucky and inherited a bunch from a KU co-worker...but since I have an addiction, and an irregular cycle,  they are almost gone.

It really could. I've talked to people that NEVER find fertile CM untless they check around their cervix.

No you don't round. I don't think anyone here uses TCOYF software. You should sign up for FertilityFriend.com. It's the most widely used and almost all the ladies are familiar with interpreting charts from it. Also going to the 100th allows you to see smaller temp shifts which may be necissary in pin pointing ovulation

That is so weird... I have no clue. If no one else can help, maybe check with the FF peeps? When you log in to your own account, can you see that you charted everything?

I have a q about my FF chart. No O date has been charted and I'm wondering if my temps are all because I charted late (for 3 higher ones) and earlier( for 2 lower ones) than I should have...  Do you think I O'd at all? I'm guessing not since I'm still have some fertile CM.

Why not? If she gets a reading of 97.18 and her software only lets her mark it to the tenth degree, marking 97.2 would be more accurate than 97.1.

For 8 cycles, I've charted only to the 10th degree and FF has never had any trouble detecting ovulation.

Hi! Any regs that didn't look at my nutty chart yesterday, will you take a look today? I am so confused! I called my doctor yesterday and the nurse thought I needed to come in but didn't have an opening. She was going to talk to the doc and call me back, but I still havent heard anything. Ugh.

I have used Walgreens Brand (similar to answer). They were the cheapest drug store brand I could find. $19 for 20 tests.

Now i order through Amazon and get 40 opks and 10 pg tests for like 10 bucks. I won't be going back to the drug store.

I don't think you O'd yet. Why are you are temping at different times?

Keep up the OPKs. Hopefully you'll get a + soon along with a clear temp shift.

I do have the CVS BBT. 

It is supposed to store two temps. Mine stored 97.70 and then stores every days temps and that is it. I don't know if they are defective or what but that 97.70 is always there.

When you recall the memory, the first flashed temp isn't your most recent?

Sorry that came out wrong. I didn't mean to say "no absolutely not, don't round" I should have elaborated and said going to the 100th picks up smaller shifts. Some don't need to and some do.

Yes, absolutely round up/down if your software only allows to the 10th.

CVS - Same thing - 20 test for $20.

I'm somehow too lazy to order from the internet.

 Later times over holiday weekend because hubby turned the alarm off.... Earlier times because I had to pee so bad and couldn't wait another hour
