I set a timer for myself today =(

I have officially determined that I am spending waaaay too much time online lately.  Yesterday I got NOTHING done bc I was on the computer whenever H was napping.  At the end of the day, I was like "What the heck did I DO today?" So, I found an online timer and I have set it to limit my computer time, otherwise I get lost in virtual world!  DH asked me the other day if I had found "the end" of the Internet yet...yikes.

So, I might be posting and running, but Happy Friday, and have a great 1st weekend of June!

  • I seriously need to do this!
  • This is seriously a good idea! This happens to me all the time when I'm off!!!!!

  • I actually use one of these when I'm working on my dissertation.  The idea is that you set a timer so that you only "have" to work on stuff for that amount of time.  If you go over, you can reset it.  It really helps with getting going those days when you feel like you can't do anything productive.  I'm used to using timers all the time at work and actually used them to help me focus (pregnant and not pregnant) to keep me on task.  That way if I work on something else or check email quickly in a break, I don't take too long and ruin something.  DH about flipped out when he realized we had like 6 timers on our wedding registry but all my science friends thought it was hilarious.  (Yes I took a few off)
