We're taking a trip to Alaska either a year from now or two years from now, a summer trip. We'll fly up, but spend most of the time in an RV driving around. We'll have my mom with us for most of the trip and spend some time at her house.
When we've been before, most of our activities revolve around being outdoors and hiking. Both things you can do with littles, but on a smaller scale than what we normally aim for.
The question is, would you rather travel with an almost three year old and almost one year old? Or would wait another year and take this trip with an almost four year old and almost two year old?
I'm leaning towards going a year from now. An almost one year will be happier to be carried and won't really care what we do, so we'd really have to just entertain Marion. But then again, I don't know what it's like to have an older kid, so maybe an almost four year old would be easier on that kind of a trip?
Re: Traveling with toddlers - which would you rather do?
i think i'd prefer the almost 4yr and 2yr olds. because your little one will be at least crawling and if they're like mine, wouldn't want to be carried anymore. they want to do it themselves.
just my 2 cents...
