So I was on FB, and I see this girl I went to high school with has 3 daughters...Chrysanthemum, Lily and Daisy. Hmmm? All I can say is WOW to the first name! I like Lily, though.
Would you ever name your children with a theme like that? I would not, but just for fun, here's my made up theme: Paisley, Argyle and Twill! LOL

Re: Theme names for kids???
I have cousins named Mari, Teri, Sheri, and Lori. Poor Lori.
I would never...never...ever do this. Not even go Duggar style, which means Josephine is most likely out (my son is named Jack). I will also not be using the name Diane or Jill if we have a girl.
I used to work in a daycare and one of the mothers took her name and mixed, removed, added some letters to all of her childerens names so that they were all a variation of hers.
I've seen flowers, cities, cars, letters. Its really not my style.
Hahaha! That would be wrong. Those kids would always get picked on! Ans so would Wednesday and Sunday!<<<saw that name spelled Sundai on America's Next Top Model. Ewww!

My step sister told us she was going to name her DD Paisley. No Joke. She ended up naming her Harlo in the end. Not sure if Paisley was a fake name or not.
No I would not do a theme. My friend Andrea is one of five girls starting with A's. She is planning on doing the same thing.
Blergh, that sucks. That reminds me of George Foreman, only more annoying.
And...
I have to kind of admit that Chrysanthemum makes me a bit happy, but only because of the Spelling Test in Anne of Green Gables. E-mum.

No, I wouldn't name my kids after a theme. My SIL named her 3 boys after presidents...
But if I would, how about Spring and Autumn?
I would NEVER do that!! But a girl I work with was telling me about this family she knows....they have 3 girls. Here are the names, starting with the first born:
Bentley
Lexus
CAMRY!!!
How sad for little Camry! That child will probably have some serious self-esteem issues!
That's silly imo!
6 letter names aren't bad unless they all rhyme or something, then I'd say don't do that!

Camry at least sounds like a name. It is in no way, shape, or form worse than Bentley. They should have gone with Porche if they were going to go with the ridiculousness though.
I have a GF that did all past presidents
Taylor
madison
Jackson
Carter
Grant
Oh no
That's kind of sad! I can't stand the name Bentley!! That's a dog name imo.

They should have named her Mercedes instead of Camry. I had a waitress once named Camry. I figured she was concieved in the backseat of a camry.

a person i went to high school with has...
Autumn, Summer, Madelyn .. if I could only share their last name on here you would giggle more.. just think of something weather related that lots of places have in spring.
Well, we have a Lillie and even though it's not spelled like the flower, I've been asked a million times if we'll name the next girl Rose. Umm no.
I knew a family in hs that were all K's, including the parents and their dog. Kelly, Katie and Kristie plus the parents and Kookie the dog. LOL
To be fair, a person could use all those names and it not be for any presidents, just in hind sight. Those are very common names. Now, if they were Abraham, Woodrow, Ulysses, and Nixon (Nixxyn?) then there would be a weirdo...
Nixxyn. :::gag:::
Agreed! My husband's initials are DDD and so are his sister's and brother's!!! I cannot stand any of their middle names either! His oldest brother is WDD, but goes by his middle names starting with a D! I think naming them all the same first letter would get very confusing. And think about the confusion with teachers! The 3 boys still get confused with family friends.

::squee!:: Awesome. Summer Rain is a scent of douche. I am not even joking (no, I don't douche). Madelyn should be Mandolin for the song. I know it probably isn't rain but it is nice to dream!
hehe.. okay it starts with an S... and you have thunder with them or you could have a winter one too hehehe
Here is my dad's joke...he knows I've like for years the name Brianna for a girl but call her Bree. And my dad knows how much I love cheese. He said I should name my kids Bree, Colby & Jack. As long as I didn't use Munster. LOL.
But no I would never name my kids on a theme. DH & his sister & dad all have "J" names and I asked if he wanted to continue that. Thankfully, he said no!!

I guess to be fair, both of my parents names start with a J, my oldest sister's name starts with a J, and my other sister and I have J for a middle name. So I guess I should yell at my parents for doing it, too!
Chrysanthemum is the name of an adorable character in a Keven Henkes book I read to my student. She's a little mouse and it's a cute name for a little mouse in a book but not for a little girl, and I can't imagine how it would look one day on a resume. I do think Lily is really cute.
Ooo they sound like Superheros!
lol Too funny. I love cheese as much as the best person, but wow.
Need a laugh? My Blog to the rescue!
hahaha!!! Cheese names would be really interesting!

To me this is not that bad! I didn't see the correlation until you spelled it out, but I guess based on where you live everyone would know! I love the name Addison, btw.

I went to school with a family of five kids: Misti, Thunder, Lightning, Windy (yes, actually spelled like that, ugh), and Dusty.
And three of my very favorite kiddos are theme named Dakota, Cheyenne, and Nevada. For some reason I don't hate those as much as the weather names... But still, the closest I'm going to come to 'theme' names is to use a family name as a middle name for each one of them.
PP is kind of bad. I can see jokes coming from that. Middle names in my opinion don't really matter because you don't really use your middle in school except at graduations!!

My best friend's parents named her 2 youngest brothers Brody and Tyler. Nice normal names, right?
Unless you are an Alabama football fan and realize Brody and Tyler are the names of two of the most recent past quarterbacks...
Yeah-obsessed much.
