A kid at work called me...

"extra fat!" I was off island for 2 weeks visitng family in Ohio and today was mt first day back with the kids. Well, my one 16 year old girl said to me "Hey Dr. P, you got extra fat while you were gone, your belly is so huge and you have it on the side too".

 WTF ?  I know I'm rocking the baby bloat, but really? I just had to remind myself that she was "in treatment" for a reason and crappy social skills is one of them.

ETA: good thing I have a sense of humor and just laughed at her. Seriously though, I havenot gained any weight, but my pants are super snug already. She was likely telling the truth hehe.

    See that's terrible! I'm glad you were able to laugh it off. I'm sure you look fabulous.

    At least you have a reason for being "extra fat!"  LOL!  I am sure you look great! 

    Also, we totally should have had a mini-GTG while you were home in Ohio, since I think your family lives pretty close to me. 

    And, I paged you a while back, but don't think you got a chance to see it since you were traveling.  Thanks for any advice you can give!  Big Smile

    LOL, glad you had a sense of humor about it!  Especially if you're not telling people yet.  I'm sure the fact that you took some time away made it more obvious than anything else.  I didn't gain very much in my first trimester, so I had the same feeling.  There were mornings where I felt fat but knew that wasn't the reason my pants were a bit snug.  Very surreal feeling to say the least.  Just take it in stride and remember that eventually the kiddo will know why your pants look a bit snug.
