Why does my child try to eat the whole pacifier?

I know she's not hungry, but she can't suck on a paci because she tries fitting the whole damn thing in her mouth.

LO won't take a paci anymore either - he tries chewing on it and right now he tries to shove his whole hand in his mouth too - even after he is full. He wants his thumb or hand - not the paci which leads to him being drool covered all day long.

Exactly what she does! Then she gets mad because she can't figure out how to suck on her whole hand.

Exactly! He gets so mad - and it is so loud too. The paci you can get rid of eventually but thumb sucking is a much harder habit to break. Maybe it is just a phase? Haha.

It IS extremely loud, like she's trying to suck the skin right off her hand. Maybe our LO's will end up at college together and still suck their thumbs

That is what he sounds like too! I get stared down when we are out & about like I don't feed him . Hopefully we can break it by then but that would be pretty funny .
