Hello Ladies,
I was wondering if anyone knew of an in home daycare that accepts part-timers or a daycare that does as well in the Harrisburg/Hershey/Mechanicsburg area? I only need 3 days and I hate to have to pay for a full week (like some daycares require) if I only need 3 days.
Re: in home daycare or part time daycare
Hey Girl! I would prefer to find someone in Harrisburg, my hubby works at the Mechanicsburg navy base so it is an option but I'm not sure yet just wanted to throw out a feeler and see if I could get any good suggestions. I am going to really start my search soon!
When we first started looking, I found a lot of people that were willing to do part-time on craigslist. I met with a lot of them and if we hadn't had the luck of having one of my parents from school offer to watch them, we would have went with a couple of them.

Three centers in the Mechanicsburg area that offer p/t infant care are The Children's Garden in Shiremanstown, Apple Dumpling Gang, and The Children's Family Center at Messiah Village. The Children's Garden allows you to choose your days. CFC is either T,R or M,W,F and I'm not sure about Apple Dumpling Gang.
I have family members who use the Child Development Center on the Navy Base in Mechanicsburg. They've been taking their kids there for years. The rate is fantastic and they seem really happy with the care their kids receive. I'm not sure if they offer p/t infant care though. Good luck!

Even if you have to pay for full time at the Navy base, it could be cheaper than part time somewhere else. I have an old cw that sends her daughter there I can put you in touch with if you'd like. I forget how much she tells me she pays but I think it was about half what I was paying at Goddard.
Hey Melinda!
Thanks for the info! We are going to apply at the base and see, but I'm going to be looking everywhere let my search begin!
