LEEP procedure and trouble getting pregnant???

Hi Ladies ~ One of my best friends is currently trying to get pregnant. She just switched OB's and was told that she has scar tissue on her cervix due to a LEEP procedure she had years ago. Her OB told her to come in and have her cervix dialated. Has anyone had this before and had a successful pregnancy afterwards?? All information would be helpful.

I had a LEEP done about 3 1/2 years ago. It did cause scar tissue on my cervix. I'm not sure if it contributed to our TTTC but it took us 17 cycles to get & stay pregnant with #2. The biggest issue I had with the scar tissue was during labor, when dilation took longer & then stalled because of the scar tissue. My nurse was aware of it though & did what she could to massage the cervix and eventually the scar tissue "popped"

i had a LEEP done in Sept. '06 and got pregnant April '07 and everything was just fine! i didn't have an issue with scar tissue howevery. the only thing they did with each pregnancy were early internal exams to be sure my cervix didn't start to dilate early.

I had a LEEP procedure done about 3-4 years before I got pregnant.  Got pg on our first cycle trying.  No scar tissue and no problems throughout pregnancy or labor.

I had a LEEP done a year before I got pregnant.  I also had a colposcopy done a few months before I got pregnant.  I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle off BC.

I had a LEEP done (they removed about 20% of my cervix) and I had no problems TTC, during my pregnancy or delivery. Good luck to your friend!

I had a colposcopy (sp?) and LEEP done and got prego 18 months later with no problems.
