So I made this huge batch of fresh pesto for dinner tonight and thought to myself "I'll roast up a spaghetti squash and mix that in with the pasta so at least I'll be getting some veggies in" feeling all good about myself (since my OB gave me the stink eye about my weight gain last appt). What do I do instead? I shovel a huge portion of pasta onto my plate, suffocate it in cheese, while my poor, neglected spaghetti squash lie shivering on the counter. Then to stop myself from eating another huge bowl, I put my fork and bowl in the sink, yet then proceeded straight to the stove and started shoveling more pasta into my mouth with my fingers. Fantastic.
