Did you do a good ole' fashion scrap book?
Did you use a computer scrap booking program, if so which one and what are the fees like?
Did you use a graphic design program like Photoshop, Indesign etc?
And, did you have professional bound books printed or lose pags that you put in plastic sleeves or something?
Anyone know of a good site with lots of good free backgrounds?
Thanks
Re: What/how did you create your profile?
Photoshop is extremely difficult to work with if you do not have prior knowledge of the program. I used Scrapbook Deluxe. I'll try to find the link for you.
PM me and I can send you the link to my profile.
I found that it worked very well. It wasn't the BEST program in the world, but after the initial $25 I paid to buy it, I didn't have to pay a company to print out our 10 page front and back profile. We used DH's laser printer at work to do it.
One of the issues I had was that it was very tedious to type in the text. I really had to play games with it to get it to format correctly and sometimes the font came out funny looking. You can't just copy and paste blocks of text in without fiddling with the spacing. That took the longest.
I also could only do two pages per document. I then converted them into PDF files, and my brother, who had Adobe Acrobat (NOT Adobe Reader, it can't do that) put the five files I had into one PDF file.
The pros were definitely, like I said above, not having to order 30 copies of such a large document. I also liked that I could easily crop and edit pictures. I even blurred out a couple of beer bottles in what were otherwise very nice pictures. (Our agency doesn't allow alcohol pictures)
We used scrapblog. They gave us the option of them printing the pages, or they could send us hi res files of our pages to do with as we pleased. As a backup, I did them in PowerPoint.
We had loose pages in plastic sleeves.
