anyone have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS?

I am THIS close to just ordering a new camera. They are on same for 499. Either talk me out of it or tell me why its a great deal?

Have it and love it! Going from a point and shoot to this was like night and day for me...you need it!

OK, if it isn't that one it's pretty similar.  His may have been more in the 699.00 range.  We LOVE this camera!  Of course, I love it alot more since he but the image stabilizing zoom lens.  I can't even take a bad picture if I try! 

I have a sony DSL that I also love.  It's a cybershot, but not the little pocket one (I have one of those too which I love).  I love mine because it is easier to use.  It is probably in the 300.00 range, so maybe you can justify that one?  Of course we bought all these gadgets back when dh was working boo-coo over time.  Those days are gone!!  Or I would be getting that new panoramic camera.

Have it and love it too!! its easy enough for starters, then you can learn how to do more and get out of shooting in auto if you want.

That is our next upgrade...but the one I want is very expensive and not in the budget right now!
