That was me last night, taking our f* you from the military..
Yes, I had an inkling this was coming. I'm just a little overwhelmed. A few weeks ago I mentioned the possibility of hub's deploying this fall for a short time and was trying to figure out how to make having a new baby easier on both of us, and you guys gave some awesome advice. However, last night we got our dates. For the record, the command has known our due date since before we came out to this duty station, and was willing to work with us (delay him a week or two if need be). Until they got a new XO (whom I like to refer to as Hugs and Kisses, just because he signs all of his emails simply XO). Our due date is still in our file as 25 July. She is measuring consistently a week earlier, and has since about 15 weeks, and of course, in CO they tell us to expect early arrivals because of the altitude, but we'll see. So with that original due date in mind, our deployment date is...
XXX Date
And he'll be returning XXX DATE. Which thank goodness, isn't a full 12 months, but still is significantly longer than they had originally told us. Grr. I know a lot of you have brought children into this world while your husband was on the other side of it, and then raised them to be perfectly normal, well behaved individuals. I hope you guys don't mind being leaned on, because this will be my first child, on the other side of the country from our families, while I'm a full time student. I have a feeling that Skype and this board will be my two best friends.
Re: Recieved Aye Sir Good Evening Sir..
First, I am sorry that you will have to endure this challenge but you will survive, I promise. The goods news is he won't miss the birth and that isn't an opportunity that many get.
Second, please edit your post and remove the dates. You just put your DH and his entire unit at risk.
They just told M that he may not deploy at all because he hasn't jumped since January. Hello, that's totally not his fault TYVM. So now he comes home all pissy every night. It's super fun.
Sorry hun, I would say I'll be here for you, but I'll be in AZ.
