Peg Perego Pliko 3 VS Peg Perego Si

what are the major differences? i see the obvious but will i be "missing out" if i get the Si?  my fear is that the Pliko 3 is just so big and heavy. I was also thinking about doing the snap N go for baby and than a Maclaren when baby gets bigger. I just dont want the weight and the bulk but i dont want to regret not having the bells and whistles if they are useful to some.

Re: Peg Perego Pliko 3 VS Peg Perego Si

  • They have similar features since they're both made by Peg. Both the Pliko and the Si can be used as a travel system with the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio car seat. There's a small difference in weight, Pliko is 16 lbs and the Si is 13 lbs.

I like the Pliko better because it's easy to fold. There's also a step on the back of it where a second child can stand. Although small, it's a nice feature... Best thing about it is that it's Italian made so it's very durable compared to some of the China-made strollers.

I like it in the Kiwi colored fabric!

  • i've tried both and chose the si.  the pliko has more padding in the upholstery, has a foot bar in the front, the tag along bar in the back and a zippered canopy that allows you to attach other peg accesories . i chose the si in kiwi because i wanted the lightest possible option and the extra features of the pliko didn't seem worth it to me.  i just use other/less expensive stroller netting and rain covers.   to me the 2 lbs made a difference when i tried the one hand lift and carry from the side handle.  the pliko and si have the same folding mechanics and offer one step fold.  BTW, the Si is not made in China but parts of the Vela  stroller are.  if you go with a the si you will probably spend as much as snap  n go and maclaren option.  i just didn't want to keep changing out strollers.  i used the si from newborn (even w/o the car seat) and plan to take it through the toddler years.  When i want to have more flexibility i attach the snug ride.
