My brother and SIL gave us their convertible car seats and booster seats that they used with my niece and nephew (11 & 7).  So yes, these are good and seasoned.   I'm fine with used especially since they're from someone I'm closed to and this saves us a lot of money.  However of course I'm concerned with safety.

I checked the model numbers on the manufacturers websites and didn't find any safety notices related to either.  But I'd also like to check an independent website just as added measure.  Anyone know of a good one?

I am not sure of a site to check, but I will say carseats expire every 5-6 years from the manufacture date (depending on the brand), so you need to check this out.
