Were 165 (down from 14,000 2 weeks prior). So I just have to have weekly checks until they're 0...so hopefully just one or two more blood draws.
Sigh of relief that they're going down that fast. The nurse gave me a big of a pep talk while I was on the phone with her, LOL. Its so nice to have a whole office rooting for me.
I started my bcp Sunday, so should have 2 normal cycles....
Re: Betas 2 weeks post ectopic
that's good! hopefully these next 2 cycles go fast!!!!!
are you getting beta's b/c you had the ectopic? i won't have to get beta's for having the D&E, right?
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!
April 2011 CP @ 5 weeks
My OB doesn't normally do them for ectopics if he removes the tube (because he knows he got it all).....but he said since we're doing the trigger shot, he does want to make sure its 0 before ttc again.....I just wanted to do them to make sure we got it all (being around here, I see too much beta drama like sunto's to be comfortable with not doing them).
Your doctor may have you do them. I had them done with my natural mc just to make sure everything was gone. Its just one of those things that differ by doctors. Really, they should do them till they're 0 to confirm they got everything.....before you develop an infection or something because of leftover tissue. But that's just my opinion.
EECK! i understand the reasoning of having them done and if the nurse didn't puncture my arm so badly the day if my D&E i wouldn't mind having them done but now i'm so not ready to have blood work done again. i can't believe my arm is still sore from the blood work done last week.
i guess i'll find out next fri if i have to have it done.
but i'm really happy your beta's are falling so quickly for you! yah!
Glad they are falling quickly for you!
Babes- I didn't have any betas after my D&C either.
That's really good for only 2 weeks. I'm glad this is resolving quickly.
babes, I didn't have any beta draws after my d&c either.

Understood. You know, I used to be terrified of needles and now they don't even bother me. I feel like I'm a blood donor once a week or something. LOL. I sorry the nurse tore your arm up so badly. Ugh
me too, definitely was not into getting blood drawn but i've had to have it done so often w/ my pregnancies that i managed to handle it. (just w/ this pregnancy being 8wks along i had it done 6x's). however, the nurse had to hit a nerve or something b/c i've never in my life been in that much pain from a blood draw.
it literally made me weak and queezy. lol.
*Good to know ladies thanks for your input on beta's.*
That is awesome!
