So, I went ahead and bought a 2.5 tog Grobag today, in readiness for our Winter and was looking at the guide that comes with it, on what to dress the baby in in accordance to room temp.
For example, when the room is around 18 degrees celcius, it recommends putting baby in a 'long sleeved bodysuit and a long sleeved pyjama top'.
This is gonna sound dumb, especially from a second time around mama, but I'm wondering (and the company that makes Grobags is a UK company so their terminology may be different from Aus') do they mean a long sleeved bodysuit with no legs, a long sleeved pyjama top and that's it? No pj pants or socks?
Samara is in it for the first time tonight and she seems to be shifting around in her sleep in it so I can't tell if she's feeling a little cooler in it because she's wearing no pj pants or socks or if she's moving around for some other reason.
For those who have Grobags (particularly the 2.5 tog) and have used them during the winter, what did/do you dress bub in?
Re: What to wear in Grobags
Hey I just saw your page below. Sorry! I have not used the Grobag yet, so it's not that I like the Halo better, it's that I just haven't gotten around to using the Grobags yet. Sorry!
For the sleepsacks, I put her in a long-sleeved footed sleeper if it's cold and a short-sleeved onesie if it's warm. HTH!

Thanks Malia and Teri! That's helpful!
Lisa, Thank you! I bookmarked the Puddy tat one, it's cute! Will buy it in the 6mth-18mth size.
I was kinda stuck with what size to get yesterday at the store because I was thinking: "Ok, Samara is almost 4 mths old so she's only gonna get 2 mths MAXIMUM out of the 0-6 mths sized bag..." (I say 'maximum' because she's growing faster than I can keep up with).
So, 2 mths is hardly worth the $80, right?
However, winter is only 3 mths worth and I needed a bag now, as she kicks off her blankies. She's around 4lbs off the minimum recommended size for the 6 mth - 18 mth bag (she was almost 14lbs at her checkup two weeks ago) so the bigger size wasn't an option.
Ah well, will have to just make sure I preserve it well and Ebay it off in one or two mths from now.
