Where do you pump?

Where do you have your pump set up?

We don't have a big house so I've been doing it in our bedroom. I have the pump on my nightstand and I sit in bed, usually with my computer on my lap. I'm thinking about moving it into the nursery. I can sit in the glider with my computer on a table next to me. It seems more comfortable. Plus, I hate pumping when SO is sleeping in on the weekends. I know it wakes him up a little bit. WWYD?

Re: Where do you pump?

  • I move the pump around the house.  During the day I pump in the living room on the couch, where we're all set up.  At night I pump in the nursery (during the day I just do diaper changes there, and I feed there at night).

I've been EPing for about 2 weeks now, and I've just been sitting in the office in front of the computer. Bumping and netflix's has been key to my sanity! (Well, that and refined white sugar Stick out tongue)

I do it in the living room. i have a pumping station set up with magazines, kleenex, and a hair clip. At night I place a bottle of water and some fruit next to the pump

  • I set the pump up in the nursery.  There isn't any room for it downstairs, and I prefer peace and quiet when I pump.

  • I pump in the living room at the computer desk. That way I can pump and bump. Just have to hope no one decides to stop by while I do it! :)

  • dinning room table. I just leave it set up on one end. I can see the TV from there, which is nice to destract me while I pump.

When we have company staying over, I move it to the bedroom.

  • I set DS up on the counter in the kitchen (we have a big breakfast bar) in his bouncy with some fun toys and pump there while I type on the laptop.  I call it my "milking station".

It's in the nursery because the glider is comfy to sit in, but I've brought it in the room a couple times if there is something on tv I want to watch while I'm pumping.

  • Our bedroom.  The nursery is upstairs and we rarely go up there.  I'm not tromping up there just to pump.  Does your pump take batteries?  Maybe you can move when you're in a room with someone sleeping.
  • Kitchen table - not a lot of accessible plugs in our old house.  DH had told me he'd fix it so I can pump and use the computer, but not so far...
  • Right now I pump in the family room....I leave it set up on one end of the couch so I can watch tv while I'm pumping.

I am wondering how you all bump/computer/etc while pumping though? Don't you have to hold the bottles with your hands?
