When to give toddler a pillow?

DH is very insistent that DD needs a pillow in her bed.  She's almost 21 months old.  Anyone else's LO of the same age use a pillow yet?

Colt has had a pillow since about 15 months. It's a small disc shaped one that is more for a couch but he wanted it one day and now he can't sleep without it! We tried to give him a toddler pillow but he only wants the one he chose.

DD1 co-sleeps and she shares DH's pillow some nights. She has for probably six months now.

I was thinking of getting DS one soon- he sleeps with his blanket all bunched up like a pillow anyways!

Ds has had a pillow (a few actually) since going we switched to a bed at 17 months.  He sometimes uses it, but mostly they just keep the pacis in the bed.

My pedi said not to give them one until they ask for one or they go to a toddler bed (which will not be until they are closer to 3). She said until they ask for one they really don't need one. So girls are going on 23 months and they still don't have a pillow in their cribs.
