Babies: 0 - 3 Months

XP from 3rd tri: Highchair - do you have one yet?

We haven't bought one yet and figured at the earliest we might need one by 3 months - do you have one now or are you waiting to buy it?

  • We don't have one.  I figured we won't need it until 3-4 months.  Wanted to save some space and money for the time being!

  • We have one, but I can't see needing it until they are eating solids, which for us won't be until probably 5 months or so. We got ours from Ikea after rave reviews from everyone I know. It's low profile, very easy to wash/wipe down, cheap, and the right height for most tables (so when you're sitting in a chair, you're the right height to LO, not way shorter).

It's this, and we also bought the matching pad (not shown) for $5.

  • we will use DS' highchair on DD. you can always use a bumbo (with or without the tray) if you don't have space or don't wanna buy the highchair yet.
  • We have one, but only because it was a shower gift.  Right now it's being used as a coat-hanger of sorts.

  • We do, but only because we already had one for DS1.

  • I have this space saver high chair. I love it. It reclines. I've been using it since we got home from the hospital. I like to sit at the kitchen table and I can have LO hang out with me without actually holding him. Same goes for being outside at our patio table. It converts to a booster chair so it'll get quite a bit of use. It also has a removable tray.
  • We received ours as a gift. It's still in the box.

  • We got ours at my shower. It is set up and ready to go although we won't be using it for awhile. :)

  • Uh no, It's not necessary until they are sitting up and or eating solids and I am waiting till 6 month at least to start DD on solids. I didn't have a shower and thus bought only the essential things for when she was a newborn. I have a friend who got rid of theirs when they realized a booster seat up to the table works just as well. Our neighbors across the street have to LO's but their high chair is on the porch. I guess they didn't need theirs as well.
  • we have an infant to toddler feeding seat (it sits on our kitchen chair), baby has been sittng in it since she was about 2 weeks old, and loves it, she looks around, watches us cook and eat dinner and we read to her in it too!

We registered for one just because we knew we would need it eventually and we have a place to store it.

we have this too and it is great.  already using it in the recline position without the tray so LO can hang out with us when we eat dinner
