Your experience with dollar store pregnancy tests?

I got a super faint BFP w/ DS at 10 dpo and it remained pretty faint for a few days.  Today is 13 dpo and I either got a BFN or the faintest possible BFP you could imagine.  I think I was just seeing the spot where the line is supposed to be if it's positive, and only when I turned it a certain way.  I don't want to spend the extra money on a better test until at least tomorrow.  I thought the dollar store ones were accurate and reliable until I saw people on here start to say that they had better luck with other tests.  The pee on a stick website lists it as a recommended test.  If you got a positive, how many dpo were you?  If it was negative, did you get a positive on a different brand the same day?

I got a negative with the dollar store test and a positive with an ept the same day.

I got an negative with $ store and positive with digital the next day.

I got a super early BFP with a $ tree test, but the line was so faint I questioned it. I took another one and a different brand a few days later and got a dark line on the other brand, still super light on the $ tree.

I took a $ tree test at 8 dpo but because the directions weren't clear I didn't wait long enough and tossed it in the trash. A few hours later I still didn't trust it so I got a First Response. It came up right away, so I got the $ test out of the trash and the line was super clear. I know it had been a few hours, but It was not an evap line!

I got a faint line at 12 dpo and tested on one again at 16 dpo and it was a clear line.

We always use the dollar store ones first- then if I see a line, however faint, I go get a digi test. The dollar store ones have worked just fine for me!

I did not test until 13 days DPO, but it was positive.  I took it 10 of them over the next several weeks and each one was darker faster, but the 1st one was definitely pg.  I have never tested earlier than that, but the only times I have taken a test, I have taken dollar store test and been pg.  If it is positive, it is pretty obvious, not hard to see IME.

When I had a clear positive on FRER, I used a $$ tree for fun. The line was super faint, and only showed up after like, 10 minutes.

I got a super-faint BFP on a $tree at 8dpo with W...and it was much darker by 9 and 10 dpo.  Also got my BFP this time around with $tree tests, but that was later.

BFPs with $ store tests on 12 DPO both pregnancies.  I didn't test before that.

I think I was 13 DPO when I got my first + when pg with DD.  The line was super faint.  I tested the next day with a digital and it (along with $ store tests) were positive.  The $ store ones were a clear + but faint  from then on.
