I feel like my pubic bone is going to snap in two like a fricking wishbone. I don't remember it ever hurting with DS1, but I am in serious pain here. Does anyone else have this or know what I can do?
I just asked my midwife about this! She said it is normal and that since we have already had one child, our bodies know what to do and they start the process much earlier! She said soon it would feel like the baby is going to drop at any minute! I was like, Thanks! It hurts and drives me crazy when I am walking! I didn't feel it with DD till like week 38!!
Pubic bone pain is definitely the way to describe what I've been having.
I'm actually curious about what I can do about it myself. I've had this pain on and off for about three weeks now and when it's really bad, I can hardly lift one leg to put on my pants in the morning. I did, however, run a lukewarm bath and sat in it for a while - it seemed to help a little bit - and also been diligent about keeping my body pillow between my legs at night.
A cursory talk about a week ago with Dr. Google yielded Pubic Symphysis Diastasis, where the bones of the pelvis are expanding to make room for delivery and wreaking havoc. I have a regular checkup on Thursday where I'm going to bring it up to my OB and ask for potential remedies.
