Switching formula

We've been supplementing, and when we give DD formula, she's been very gassy. She has been on Similac Advance. Today, we picked up Similac Sensitive because I heard it's better for gas. Can we just switch suddenly? Or are you supposed to do something gradual? TIA :)

Re: Switching formula

  • We made the same switch at the rec of our pedi and she said to just make the switch, not gradual.

This formula seems to make our LO less gassy but it hasn't been a miracle cure. Better for sure, though! GL!

This.  We are going to be switching to Similac Sensitive b/c that's what daycare provides. I am bummed b/c DD has been doing great on Target's version of Enfamil Gentlease.  I hope it doesn't cause too much trouble for her tummy!

  • Ask your pediatrician what is right for your child.
  • We were told mix half and half when making bottles when switching between two formulas. Ask your pedi what's right for your LO :)
