I waited until after I gave birth to get the bras just to make sure I got the right size. I found nursing bras in a sports bra style. They were comfortable and provided the much needed support. Tanks are fine but you will need a bra to hold on the nursing pads because do trust you will be leaking ALOT. Just see if the hospital has a nursing center and they can really help you find what you need...the lactation specialists are very helpful also...good luck!
I love my Bravado nursing bras. They are SO comfy. I have some Target tanks and I hate them. I don't like the weird little circle thing that stays around your breast. I find it to be extremely uncomfortable.
I have one from Target that I LOVE. I don't know what it's called, but it's Lycra (or something) material and a bit more like a sleeping bra but has a supportive band underneath. Very comfy. I don't think it would work
as well for bigger chested ladies, but I'm a C and love it.
