How much spit up is average with formula feeding? I supplement with formula, and usually give him 2 ounces at a time and he spits up quite a lot more than he does after bf'ing. I feel like its almost a tablespoon worth that comes spewing out, and then he usually gets the hiccups after spitting up.
is this normal?

Re: formula feeders, spit up question
He might be eating too much..if the spit up is not projectile. (projectile = possible allergies).
DD is FF now after being taken off BM and doesnt spit up at all..she spit up once after eating too much while being supplemented with formula and BM and once straight on BM.. since then which was about 2 weeks ago DD never spits up..
DD went through a phase where she was spitting up after each feeding...not a ton and it was never projectile and she wasn't bothered by it so Pedi said it was fine. She doesn't spit up as much anymore.
She also gets the hiccups A LOT. Some babies get them and some babies don't. I think they are more annoying to me than they are to her!
