Sleeping? After LO spits out paci, do you remove it?

from there crib.

Not always, but sometimes ds2 needs a paci to get to sleep in his bassinet. Normally for naps and if he is still awake when I put him down at night. It just a nice soother and puts him to sleep. Anyway, he always spits it out within a matter of 5-10 minutes and I go back in and remove it.

Do you do this?

fwiw: I don't need to use it throughout the night, just at the beginning sometimes.

Same with my DS. He doesn't use it all the time, just some nights. He sleeps next to me in a co-sleeper, so when he pops it out, I just move it aside in case he needs it again.

  • He's right next to the bed so I just leave it in there.  It makes it easier to find when he startles and needs quick soothing to get back to sleep.
Baby #3 is on the way!

  • Nope. She is in her own room so I have no idea when she spits it out :-)
  • I don't know when she spits it out (if she even goes in the crib with it in her mouth - that's hit or miss) since she's in her crib in her own room so no, I don't remove it.
