Joovy Caboose vs. Baby Trend Sit n Stand?

Hello!  I posted yesterday for double strollers and the Joovy won overwhelmingly :-)  I looked at BRU online and it seems like the majority of them are only sold online??  I also noticed a Baby Trend (i think that's the brand) sit and stand while at Target yesterday.  I just didn't know if anyone had any experience with this one, or the difference between the two.  I don't mind ordering online, but I'd really like to see/feel the stroller in the store.  I didn't make it to BRU yesterday, so i'm hoping they really DO have one in the store, but looks like the newest models are only online.

Suggestions?  Thank you again!  I'm just ready to mark this off the list!

Re: Joovy Caboose vs. Baby Trend Sit n Stand?

  • I cannot stand my sit n stand. It's hard to maneuver, which is my biggest issue with it.

  • Buy, Buy Baby carries both those strollers to compare. I didn't care for the handle angle on the Joovy Caboose, and I wish they had the Joovy Ergo to try. Also, the front to back strollers were so much more difficult to push then the side by side ones.

  • I just bought the Joovy Caboose ultralight and it is great!  Ordered from Amazon...$209, no shipping, no sales tax :)  I wouldn't push it around Disneyland for the day, but it has been great for the mall and other small day trips.
  • If you look at the specs of both, the baby trend is a lot bigger than the joovy.  That is why I went with the Joovy.  I like a stroller with a small footprint.

We actually used it in disney and it worked great!  We went during an off season so it wasn't insanely busy, so maneuvering wasn't an issue.

  • maybe late to the party on this one, but i would definately suggest trying before you buy.  turns out our DS just didn't really like standing and with some sit-n-stands that's the only option when #2 is in the infant carrier.  at then end, we got the city-mini duo (love it!).  DS#1 may be a little on the older side for this, 3.5, but he's small and in the end i felt like i needed to be able to contain both kiddos - especially when i'm out with them by myself.
  • I have the Joovy Caboose Ultralight and I LOOOOOVE it.  DS1 hated the stroller until we got this one.  He loves sitting on the seat in the back (now if I could only get DS2 to like sitting in it too I be in business!).

The seat in the back is a little tight when the baby is in the carrier, but my DS could still sit down, he just had to lean forward.  It was totally fine for trips to the mall etc (he didn't complain at all and he's very big for his age!).

It's lightweight, steers well etc.  I tried the Baby Trend in Target and didn't like it.  It felt heavy and clunky and was harder to steer.  Just my 2 cents! :)

  • thank you so much!  i was thinking that the joovy looked smaller just by the pictures.  I'll be at the store this weekend. hopefully i can find it in stock somewhere.

thanks again for all of your help!
