My 6 week old won't sleep in the crib at night. Once in a great while she will sleep in it during the day, but on rare occasion. She has been sleeping her swing mainly due to reflux, but now that is more under control and we want her to sleep in her crib. She will be asleep and the second we put her down she wakes up and then won't go back to sleep. We've tried swaddling with blankets, woombie, sleep positioner. She falls asleep great in her swing which in very snuggly and comfortable, but want to break the habit now before I go back to work. She will eat, be put in crib, wake up, think she needs to eat again (she doesn't), and won't go back to sleep. If she is put in the swing, then she is asleep for 4 hours during day and up to 8 hours at night....meaning 9-10 hours of no eating at night...not good! ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!!!!!

Re: crib sleeping problems...help
What's not good about 9-10 hours of not eating at night?? My pedi told me to let her sleep at night as soon as she was back up to her birth weight.
Anyway, my LO used to hate her crib. We kept trying it, and now she sleeps in there all night most nights.
We had that problem to start with, the only way LO would sleep in her crib was inside the boppy, so we put her in the boppy in crib. Every few nights I'd try without the boppy, and lately she's been sleeping in it without the boppy! We put her in a halo swaddle sleep sack, and she seems pretty content in it.
The other thing we have done is roll up two receiving blankets and put them on either side of her, then push them up tightly against her. If she rolls onto those then she will just squish them, but they help her feel snug and secure. Last night she slept without them for 4 hrs straight! She woke up barely to eat, and then went right back to sleep.
