Zantac users

Are you having your Zantac flavored? It comes in a mint flavor and ds does not like it at all. I mean he takes it cuz he doesnt really have a choice but he squirms and fusses the whole time. But Walgreens flavors kids medicine, I'm just wondering if I got it done would minty grape be worse, cuz I'm sure you can still taste the mint through the flavor. Anyone do this, did your lo like it better?

Re: Zantac users

  • I didn't even think about having it flavored for her. I did find a trick for her to take it easily since she hates it so much. I put it in the tip of a bottle nipple. She sucks it down before she even realizes that she hates it. After she's done she gives me a look like "how do I fall for this every time?" but at that point its too late to spit it out or protest! :)

That sounds like a great idea! Im going to try it tonight! My LO hates the taste too. She is on 1.7 ml twice a day, and its a struggle to get her to take it. I usually give her like .2 ml and then stick the paci in and she sucks on that and swallows, then repeat until she has taken the whole 1.7ml. If I dont do it in small increments, and I dont stick the paci in, then she spits it out.

To the OP.. I wouldnt think grape/mint would taste any better than mint. I think it might be worse.

  • I can't take the credit for this...a friend of mind did with her little girl. I was doing the same thing with the paci until she gave me the tip. it works like a charm!
  • We had it flavored grape when we refilled yesterday.  He's only had it twice since then, but he seemed to handle it a little better.  My husband is our taste tester and he said it was better.
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!

  • Lisa10e, I have never seen anyone with the age gap that my kiddos have. Im sure there are alot of people like that, but your the first I have seen. How does your older one handle the baby? Mine has completely lost interest in the baby.
